    AC Dies when 4WD Activated?

I agree that it's a vacuum issue. I would bet your AC was coming out the defrost vents when this happened, as that is the default blend door direction.

    just bought a deleted truck

That is curious. Double check your wire tracing. You're right in that all delete (tunes) are not created equally. Some do use a knob for SOTF (switch on the fly) tune changes but the one I'm familiar with uses some wiring under the hood from a sensor (can't remember which one).

    just bought a deleted truck

It sounds like one of the batteries has a dead cell. You need to replace them in pairs though so get two new ones and report back. What do you mean by how best to deal with a deleted truck? It's the same as any other truck as far as maintenance and upkeep.

    oil dipstick ... 6.7

I was thinking the same thing. Mine reads pretty dang clear on the '14.

    Gearing options

You're going to want to go to probably 4.11's to get back to where you were at with the 40's. 2000 rpm at 70mph is the sweet spot for these trucks; too many more rpm's and fuel mileage drops like a rock, too many less and you're waiting on the turbo to spool anytime you get into it. That's how...

    Whine from HPFP?

Just listened to it again and that is definitely not the starter. Only happening on remote start is really weird! Can you take another video of the entire series of events? Have the hood open and the video recording and then press the remote start and record all the way through to the truck...

    Whine from HPFP?

Naw, the HPFP is engine driven. That is odd that it only happens when the truck is cold. Does it directly correlate with the duration of the low pressure pump run time?

    Whine from HPFP?

I don't know what that whine is but it sure isn't the HPFP because the engine isn't running. You're not hearing anything from the primary filter/pump area under the drivers side frame rail?

    2002 F250 7.3L dash gremlins

Replace or add ground cables from the cab to the frame, cab to the engine, and frame to engine.

    check coolant additive

$185 is nuts. All they need to do is test your coolant to make sure the additive levels and chemistry is within specs. If not they can make adjustments or just change it altogether.

    2021 CP4 failures?

CP4 failures in powerstrokes are certainly a thing. The main cause is a loss of lubricity in the fuel which is normally from fuel contaminants like water or DEF. Bottom line is to keep up on fuel filter service intervals and fuel up at trusted and/or high traffic fuel stations.

Help Needed ‘91 F350 7.3L IDI idles well, runs like garbage.

Did you check the ATF with the engine running? How far above normal is the oil level and does it look thin or smell like diesel? I didn't see where you have a fuel filter in the system; have you checked it after it died in the driveway this last time? The dying and poor running is still a fuel...

    Need to read the ECM

That looks like it should work but you'll also need to download an app like FORscan for it to read anything.

    OBD codes

I wouldn't go just throwing parts at this problem. There's not a whole lot you can just "check" with relation to the EGR on these unless you're just talking about the EGR valve itself.

    Question Rust under truck

On the frame, that's nothing. I'd be looking closely at the cab pinch welds and up inside the rockers as well as the box u-channels.

Question 1997 Fuel leak Coming from under fuel filter

There's a whole world of difference between the fuel bowl in the valley of a '97 7.3 and the underhood filter assembly on a '12 6.7.

    Question Trans Fluid Temp Spike??

Have you had the bypass valve replaced or serviced? That could have gotten stuck and caused a no-flow to the trans cooler.

    RPM Concern

Can you elaborate on this statement more? I'm not understanding how lower RPM = higher turbo RPM. It is my understanding that they're directly proportional, not inversely proportional but please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm always open to learning.

    RPM Concern

Wait, what? The 6 speed has plenty of gears just for this reason. Additionally; are you making an argument that the only good truck is a 100% stock truck because I think we can all agree that is definitely not the case!

7.3L hard shift ONLY while towing

I'd check your exhaust back pressure sensor and sensor tube. From what I have read the ECM uses that information as input on fueling and shifting. When is the last time you did a transmission filter and fluid swap?
  22. B

    RPM Concern

You're not hurting the engine per se, running it at 2500-3k rpms but it does have a big effect on your miles per gallon and some would argue that it will wear the internal parts faster because you're putting more rotations on everything, over a shorter period of time. I don't know if the mpg...

    HPOP Line blew out

The only downside to trying it is another failure so I guess it depends on how reliable/dependable you need it to be.

    Fuel sending unit Rheostat

Correct, the other ground straps on the truck. There's one under the passengers side between the body and frame that rots off with time as well as a host of others that become suspect with age. All can cause strange issues with the electrical components on our trucks.
