All the nozzle springs were good at the time I changed the pistons out for the 180 ones but at times now my idle gets a little rough, no startup smoke to speak of though. It does have a little chop when cold out the exhaust but I checked glow plugs the other day and have one bad one I need to...
Question for you all since I have seen broken nozzle spring referenced more than once in this thread. What symptoms does it cause when a spring is broke? is it lowering the VOP on the injector to where they dribble fuel at first or what?
Thanks
Curious
Same kind you have when you change your own oil I guess.
IMO you either want to do it yourself or you don't, not telling anyone they should but some of us wouldn't have it any other way and I don't knock anyone for buying from any vendor especially if you get a warranty and good service but...
If you want to be in the 325rwhp range and you are a good with a wrench just build your own set of stage 1's. It's not that tough and I am darn happy with the way mine runs. You want more than that and I would decide on goal and pick a package from one of the vendors.
Oh BTW, good numbers for...
My helper used to question why it took so long to change the glow plugs until she dug into just the intake and big nut on the fuel pump and realized I wasn't just taking my time and there is a reason my hands look like freddy kreuger's.
Have to tell you my story,
Fuel pump was leaking for a week or so got a new one and needed to change it out before the holiday weekend, truck was at home and you know I have the most awesome wife in the world she called and asked me what she could do to help, BTW IMO she is hot too and rides...
How long was the truck sitting during the rebuild? how's your fuel filtration could have dislodged some crap in the tank to plug stuff up?
BTW-you spin me right round LOL JK everyone thinks you are a sick SOB now.
Luke,
did you get hammered on TDS for the meat spin thing? that was freakin hilarious one I send it to everyone that p*sses me off now.
Barring a ring not seating right since the build(which I would think you would have some odd smoke from that) or an o-ring poppin on an injector I would lean...
Mplayer,
Keep seeing more and more ogygunians on the forums these days, finally getting some diesel pushers out here now.
Anyway, I did the IDM mod-seemed to smooth things out a little and pep them up don't know what the true result is would have to try truck same day with and without...
Well, finally got them done, put about 40 miles on them so far and all I can say is my tranny is gonna hate me now.
Truck seems quieter than ever, pulls way harder than I expected.
Had a few issues but did the whole project in about 6 hours including finally gutting the ebpv(lost about 75...
Tubzz, you have to get these to match

Meant to ask you on the other site-
How did you break a nozzle?
Have my pistons being shipped from Jim today, went with 170's. Good to see the power you are putting down with yours, that is pretty much where I would like to be somewhere around 325rwhp if my fuel and HPOP can keep up, then it...
Sounds good to me, I couldn't sit and read the whole story as I started to dwell on it and visualize. It's been 15(can't believe it's been that long) years since I was over there in that armpit and the people haven't changed a bit. This is what they want us to do is start to contemplate if...
Luke, glad you got it back together been a lot of work just watching you go at it. Don't be too hard on it yet wanna see it make some runs.
Should be easier to ID where the oil is coming from before everything gets dirty since you just put it in, would definitely try to ID where it is even...
Mud,
Still working great, yeah the v codes I have are a good ride. still haven't gotten my drop pitman arm on yet but other than that drives good just a little bumpsteer, with the 5 inches of lift.
I actually did a hybrid steering setup-tie rod is the same one they use for a 85 k20 chevy...
Mud,
Here is a frequency chart for the map

HOpe it helps...
The easiest is the sonnax valve and tricumulator springs, only 50 bucks and does a good job. Can get it thru some of the vendors fairly easy to put in just drop the pan and do a fluid filter change if you didn't when you put the cooler on. Did you get a gauge on it?
Don't have the diagram here but this guy might be able to help you out he is a good guy always helps me when I ask sent me a spare tugger calibration plate for shipping.

name is jon, luke cline can vouch for him.
Sounds a little like what mine did when I modded the accumulator and messed up the little screen filter between it and the body which let it leak and the warmer it get the worse the tranny slipped. One other thing is too much fluid will cause some issues as it warms up and expands, I would make...
Had a chevy that did that too, idler arm was shot and it scared the holy snikees out of me the first time it did it. I have heard of quite a few even with a dana 60 having the death wobble, worn out tie rods/shocks/ball joints and bigger tires will do it for sure.
Yeah, like he said on the inside. Someone gave me one with ford and flames on it and I assumed it went on the inside and cut it in 3 pieces to get the curve right but then figured out it went on the outside which is bad when it freezes already messed it up gonna take it off.
