    steering column bearings?

    i have a bunch of play in my steering wheel (up, down and side to side) and sometimes it gets really hard to turn unless I pull up on the wheel. I think my column bearings are going out or something. Anyone ever replaced these before or had a similar problem?

    i hand calculated my mileage and it was 18.4 which i believe to be impossible. i know my speedo is off by about 15% because of the 37" tires but i calculated that in as well. 482 miles x 1.15 speedo error divided be 30 gallons to fill up = 18.4 supposing my speedo was correct: 482 miles...

    dome light issues

    I dont know of any pressure switches. The trigger for the steps is just a wire that taps into the door latch switch. I was thinking that if it had a short it would probably trigger the steps when the vehicle is in movement as well. They only come down after being parked for more than an hour or so.

    well it seems like the dome light is not triggering the steps. i can unlock the doors and the steps do not come down unless i open the door. maybe something is wrong with the steps?
