    no clue

Is it possible the rotor is not sitting flat against the hub? From my experience, sometimes installing new rotors/pads, the rotor has to sit flat against the hub to the pads are sitting straight in there grooves or you will never get the caliper over them. Take a couple of lugnuts and thread on...

    Vibration at highway speeds

It's a possibility. Take the front driveshaft completely out, and test drive it again and see if the vibe is still there. If it is still there, maybe tires need to be balanced?

    Behind-the-belt upper radiator hose

Haha...guess I could've answered my own question easily by just jumping on O'Reillys site and looking. They list two upper hoses, one for 'through' the serp belt, and one for 'around' the serp belt. Funny thing is, the around-the-belt one is 3 bucks cheaper. Sweet! Problem solved :)

    Behind-the-belt upper radiator hose

I've noticed a couple of guys have done this, I'd like to do it while I've got mine apart....anybody know specifically what years had this hose?

    Radiator, M/T vs. A/T

Just for future reference, I did find that the radiators are completely interchangeable between Manual trans and auto trans for the cooler hookups on the radiator.

    Engine miss

Odd....you should feel it when you powerbrake if its an engine miss.

    Engine miss

What if you try to powerbrake it? If it'll do it when you powerbrake, then you could disconnect one injector at a time and re-powerbrake to see which ones are acting up. Maybe also do a compression test?

    Engine miss

I don't see why not? Another way you could do it....would be messy, but leave the valve covers off, and one at a time, unplug each connector on the injector and see which ones make a difference.

    Engine miss

He said it passes CCT fine though?

    Love how this works...

I've already got my cooling system drained doing some work on my truck, so I said....well, nows a good a time as any to go ahead and do the 203* thermostat, also upgrading to the International Fleetrite coolant. So I went to dieselsite.com to order just a thermostat. Then I thought...I know how...

    Engine miss

Haha maybe you should edit your sig to say 2000, w/02,04 etc parts so that way Dave doesn't get confused every time he reads it lol.

    Question Noise in drive train

Either way you go will be expensive. Just guessing from costs I've seen on other rear ends R&P 150-250, and a rebuild kit(bearings&Seals) 75-125. Of course that's if you do it yourself, and that doesn't include any new spider gears. IMO, if you didn't find chunks/shavings of metal floating...

    Question Noise in drive train

If it is throttle related accel vs. decel, sounds more like a ring&pinion noise. Most of the time if the noise will go away on accel, and come back on decel, or vice versa(it can go either way depending) that's what it will be. Good luck...

    Radiator, M/T vs. A/T

Haha sorry, should've been more descriptive....guess if I would've added my truck to my sig it would've helped too, I'll do that after I post this. Anyways, it's an '00 F250, same to same I busted mine so I need a new one. But I DO have M/T with the cooler lines that bolt into the bottom of the...

    Radiator, M/T vs. A/T

Needing a radiator for my truck, I can find the A/T trans radiator cooler real cheap comparitively. I was wondering if anybody knew if the M/T cooler lines will thread straight into the A/T cooler lines on the bottom of the radiator?

Question Cold weather, How do you start your 7.3?

Well, before....my glowplug relay was bad, I was taking a jumper wire across the GPR for about 10 seconds and it would fire. Now that I replaced it, I let the WTS light go out then crank and it fires right up in 18 degrees without being plugged in. Does give off some nice cold smoke for about a...

    Super high mileage superduty value???

Like I said if he has kept the oil changed, and the engine taken care of, I wouldn't be scared of it at all. Check the SD out, see how bad it smokes on a cold startup, if it shakes bad etc etc. Sometimes people just want to trade down. That's the reason I have my SD now. I traded my 2000...

03 7.3 died on road, no start now

The shop is in Pennsylvania....nowhere around here! I don't want to give out the name because they are being brought to court about the situation. If you need help with yours just give me a holler, I'm not a 100% expert on these but I know enough to get by and have knowledge to do the work...I'm...

    Super high mileage superduty value???

IMO I wouldn't be worried about the mileage. I know it scares a lot of people away just because, if it's been maintained it has at least another 200K to run. As far as being easier to sell than your Z71....I'd say probably not. To the average joe 212K looks a lot better than 600K. Good luck!

03 7.3 died on road, no start now

Well the shop finally got through with my dad, 2500 dollars later his truck runs, but he said it still didn't run like it was supposed to and shuddering, just wanted to get it away from this shop(I'll get to that in a min.) Supposedly, they just starting pulling injectors and found a piece...

03 7.3 died on road, no start now

Update.. they claimed CPS was good. They said the codes were infact from low batteries...now back to the fun. I still don't think they did a pressure test, the tech just had a hunch and starting pulling injectors, supposedly before he did that though they did get it to start with a lot of...
