Lol I'll work on that. No doubt, my brother has been banned from the truck, and from driving anyone in the family's car. Not that he'd want to after all the crap we've given him now. My Dad gets a free pass, it had under a 1/4 tank of gas when I gave him the keys so it's partially my fault...- pcleez

Ha so far I have to beat my Dad's ass and my Brother's. Like I said, this truck is a great example of why you shouldn't loan your vehicle to family.- pcleez

Why would it say it had 25 miles til empty and then run out of gas? If it was completely out of fuel, yes, obviously air could be in the lines, but shouldn't 25 til E mean it has at least a gallon and a half in the tank? Not sure how that applies to "learning from my mistakes." This is the...- pcleez

So problems again, of course with another family member driving (and yes I know i said *I* put regular in it below, my bad but it WAS my brother, lol) My Dad had the truck to go pick up some lumber and it started getting low on fuel. He says it said 25 til empty as he was on his way to a gas...- pcleez

There is a diesel tech down the street for me. I ended up just bringing it there, because after speaking to the Powerstroke guy from that site he recommended I not try to do it myself as the 6.4's injection system is a "b$%ch" in his opinion. I ended up being around $500 to get the whole system...- pcleez

Alright so I'm back from visiting family for the holidays, going to give this a try tomorrow morning. Got the filters and the oil. Hopefully it works! I will let you guys know and THANKS for the help. I spoke with my dealer and trying it this way doesn't void the warranty, if it doesn't work...- pcleez

Thanks- I guess I should be a little more clear- as I am in graduate school and have $300 to my name- me paying to get it fixed is out of the question. My Dad is an anti get it fixed by the dealer guy, but I purchased this truck with the hope that it would last me the better part of a decade...- pcleez

Hey guys. I have a 2009 F250 diesel FX4 crewcab with 5k miles on it. I made the mistake of allowing my brother to borrow it yesterday. The low fuel light was on when he borrowed it and he continued to drive it until it was almost out of gas. I guess the station he went to didn't have a diesel...- pcleez
