Yeah, I'm feelin' the love here moreso than other forums I've stumbled onto in the past. I've had lousy results elsewhere in the past, being around a few waterheads that either know it ALL, or don't know ANYTHING but claim to. That's worked for me moreso over the years, than racking my brain with theory. Some things are just so simple, we tend to overthink little things into catastrophies. Glad to hear it's lit back up.;tu- 550Tommy

This is the right method, need to keep positive pressure until you push that air out and clear fuel is headed to nozzles. There's always the taboo trick...bottle feed it some sniffer gas from the can...but I didn't say it.:nono:- 550Tommy

so according to ford it is normal for this engine to make its own oil?
Whatever happened to the old motto "Built Ford Tough?" I have a good amount of friends who own newer than 2003 1/2 Ford diesels, and all except one (who doesn't really even use it much, just as a pleasure vehicle,) has had some pretty tough luck with them. Some to the tune of really messing up...- 550Tommy

Thanks Wayne and Dave! Speaking of 8V92's...my brother bought a brand new W 900 A Model in 1979 with a Silver 92. It was Detroit's 440 hp. That thing screamed, pulled, ran unbelievable for 100K miles, then one day it scattered unmercifully in Connecticut. Luckily it was close to the Detroit...- 550Tommy
