Groaning noise coming from under my truck

I took truck to the dealer and the service advisor looked at me Like I had two heads. So I bought the fuel filter kit and change them out. Noise is gone! The F d c m was screaming before I replaced the filter. Any thoughts why this would Happen at 11900 miles? It's a 2011 F550 with a6.7

Groaning noise coming from under my truck

Does anyone have this groaning noise under thier truck. It gets loader as the truck heats up. I have 11500 miles and have not seen any indication of it needing a regen. I have added DEF three times. Does the regen make noise and could my truck be stuck in regen? Help!! The noise is making me nuts!!
