    Oil??

I am getting 13 - 14 (calculated, not computer) in every day driving with my DRW FX4. I live in the Texas Hill country so 40 mi / day is in hills and curves. The rest is in traffic and on construction right of ways. So, I would consider that pretty good for a rig that can pull 21K lbs. I have...

    Oil??

I would consider those items as normal wear. Sounds like perfection to me. My 2000 7.3 was like that. Of course I only put a mere 256K on it over 6 years. I am very glad to hear reports like this since I now own two of them.

    Oil??

Wow! A 2011 with 369K? That's probably the most I have ever heard about. I assume you bought it early when they came out, but that is still 123K / year. I'm guessing a hotshot rig?

    Oil??

What's the opinion on synthetic oils? I have always ran Rotella and now Rotella T in all my diesels with no issues. Now I am considering Rotella T6 in my wife's new F250. I can have it done at my local shop with plain Rotella T for $56, total but I will have to bring my own oil to use T6...

    New 2012 6.7 PSD SuperCab-First road trip-23.7 MPG!!!

My personal and business experience has been good for re-selling these trucks. Of course you take the initial hit, as with any new vehicle. If you drive them for 5 years or longer and take care of them, they bring a premium. Most of our company trucks are north of 200K when we sell or trade...

    New 2012 6.7 PSD SuperCab-First road trip-23.7 MPG!!!

I would take 17 any day, even for a every day driver. My company has a F550 w the 4.30's and he doesn't do that well, but he is pulling a gooseneck 30-40% of the time. I would much rather have the 4.30's in the mountains.

    New 2012 6.7 PSD SuperCab-First road trip-23.7 MPG!!!

Nice rig Ratchet. With 4.30's I would imagine you wouldn't feel the Raptor. I seriously considered getting a F450, but it will be my daily driver for work and I put about 40K / yr. Everything I have read from other RVers say that the F350 with 3.73's will handle my Cyclone 4100 easily (18K). It...

    Towing with 3.31 gears

Glad to find this topic. I am buying a F250 for my wife and was considering the 3.31 gears. It will never pull anything and will have mostly highway miles. She drove a '99 F250 and a 2002 Excursion for almost 100K each, so she's no stranger to diesel trucks. After a 5 year hiatus to a Mercedes...
