Lifetime brake pads?
"Lifetime" generally means they will replace the pads at no charge as long as they have not been damaged by metal to metal contact. The "Lifetime" warranty does not cover installation however, only replacement pads. Nothing is forever....... Old Gasser- OldGasser

Transmission temperature
I have had trans temps above 250 (F) when towing our 13,000 lb 5th wheel trailer. Petroleum based oils should generally be kept below 300 degrees but synthetic oils (what comes from the factory in the 6 speed transmission) can tolerate much higher temps with no loss of lubricity.
