    THE truck does comunicate with a mac mentor that has obd1 hook ups it has ek4 connector under the hood. Would a chip cause it not to communicate with the scannner.

    Under the hood by the pcm I not sure exactly I wasn't there when he hooked it up. It was a mac genisis scanner the one with the big screen. What is the UVC harness?

    I Drove the truck around in a parking lot today with the 4 wheel drive on it works the tire get chirping and the truck was lurching. Then I got all four tires of the ground and put it in 4 wheel drive and they turned. one side faster then the other.

    napa sells the warn premium manual hubs then on warn industries site they say you have to buy a spindle conversion kit. Do you think it would be hard to switch it over?

    So your saying the manual hubs are centrifugal and the autos are vacuum assisted?

    DO you think I could convert them to manual hubs from like napa or any auto parts store? If not I heard that the vacuum lines crack and don't seal which causes them not to work. I hope thats it the problem. Anybody else have any past expierences with this problem?

    Then it is a auto hub. But the 4wd doesn't seem to work. Is there a problem with the vacuum lines that do the engaging? It is a 1997 f250 powerstroke.

    when I shut the truck off when it was warm then started it up a couple of minutes later it didn't do it again. And it only does it when its cold after it warms up a little bit it won't do it much.

    rear end clunk?

    think I figured it. I jacked the rear end up off the ground the wheel was about to fall off the studs cut notches in the wheel so the tire moves an inch before the truck moves. Question is How do I get the wheel studs off after I have the drum off?

    When ever I put the truck in drive or reverse I get a clunk noise coming from the rear end and I was wondering If you guys would know what this is. The truck is 1997 f-250 with a 7.3 as 4.10s. Only does it when your stopped and shifting from park to reverse or drive to reverse. Or reverse to drive.

    Just got a 97 powerstroke f250 and were replacing the fuel filter and can't figure out how to get the filter of the housing there is no tabs or nothin. it is a hastings style filter any help would be apprciated.

    Hi, I'am new here and I was looking at a 97 f250 7.3 with 150,000miles it has 4.10s. It is a regular cab xlt. For $8,495 and was wondering if it was a good buy. I also would like to know what to look for as of problems.
