    shim fpr, now leak

    Drove home at lunch-20 miles no leak. Start up 2.5 hrs later- filter gasket popped out, big leak. I removed the BB, drove 20 miles to work, no leak. Hope this fixes it. Thanks everyone.

    I put the BB between spring and the piece that attaches to the fuel line. I drove 20 miles home, and 20 miles to work, and no leaks. I will try to remove bb soon.

    hpop oil line disconnect?

    Late 99, The O ring on the drivers side rear of the HPOP, the line goes to the pass head, is puking oil. How do I fix this. I was able to tighten it 1/2 turn or so and stop the leak, but I know this is only temporary. How do I remove the oil line?

    My 95 w/ 3" dp 4.5" straight pipe, 5" chrome big rig turnout in front of tire is LOUD at interstate speeds. At 50-60 not to bad.

    exhaust wall thickness

    Is 14 gauge thick enough? (what is 14 ga thickness in decimal) I see a 4" t-back alum 14 ga listed for sale in diesel pwr for less than $300. I don't need/can't afford S.S. The stock exh lasted a long time, so I think alum will work for me. I just want to do it right the first time as cheaply...

    strange oil leak

    on the powerservice, I had summer fuel in, and the truck sat for 4-5 wks. Once, it was started it ran fine. I have since filled up, and added PS to the tank. About the leak, why does it leak after I shut it off, and not when idle/high idle?

    I don't have an expander. Any other way? I really don't want to do this again, and I don't want to spend any more $ than necessary. I hope to be buying a new to me SD in the next few months, then I hope to sell this one. Thanks again.

    My up pipe donuts are leaking badly. Do I remove the turbo, and work my way down, or do I remove the exh manufold, and work my way up? Also do I need new up pipes, or should the old be reusable?

    fuel milage

    i drive 15 miles to work, and 15 home, @ 55-60 mph and I'm getting 15.5-16.5 w/ truck in sig. I was hoping that the newer ones would do 18+. BTW I want a CC, I assume that they get lower mpg.:dunno

    door removal

    i ended up taking the door apart, and getting enough slack to set the door on a trash can. And yes I am fighting getting it lined back up. At least it closes now. At first the front hit the fender, and wouldn't close.

    the hinge pins are worn out, and I am trying to remove the door to fix them, and I cannot figure out how to unplug all the wires. I found one behind the e-brake, and the other goes up under the dash. Do I chase it up behind everything, or do I remove the door panel, and unplug something in the door?
