    headlight bulbs....

The hardness is a "nice to have", most kits don't come with it. A trip to Radio Shack or AutoBarn-like store will cost you about ~$5 to make up the harness. All it is a 30A fuse and relay to protect against feedback.

    headlight bulbs....

My friend down the road just got it from them yesterday and we were playing all night with it. Its actually not a swing but telescopic, there is a little magnet at the base that moves the bulb. Very neat. I was actually looking for the dual-bulb configuration until I learned that they burn...

    headlight bulbs....

I have one of these so just to set the record straight. You're looking at the High/Low options, which you're right its is Xenon (low), Halogen (high). This is what I have, the Xenon is good enough that I haven't used my highs in quiet a while. But having high xenon would be useful too for...

    LED light replacements

Happy new year all. Has anyone had any good/bad experience with LED upgrade lights for your break, signal lights? Ender

    headlight bulbs....

Hah! If you have to use the heat from Halogen bulbs to melt the snow off of your car you have bigger problems than not being to see where you're going. I have switched 2/3 of vehicles and would never go back. Driving out in the total dark in the back roads ... oh my it makes a big...

    Tire Rotation

I usually do it whenever I do the breaks. Ender

    headlight bulbs....

I think the "upgrade" makes the bulbs run too hot which shortens their life span. I had 3 bulbs die out in less than 9 months. I have had a 35W hid kit for about 6 months and a 50W hid kit for barely two weeks and so far no problems, and no sign of overheating. Ender

    Tire Rotation

Just out of curiosity, why would you not cross the tires? I not seen any extra wear because of this so I'm just wondering what the thought process is behind it. Thanks

    Tire Rotation

What is the recommended method? I usually do F<->B and L<->R. I haven't seem any major L <-> R wear but I still do it just because I have always done it that way.

    headlight bulbs....

I just switched from #1 to #2 and this is my opinion only. The "upgrade" of the halogens makes the bulbs VERY hot and they seem to die off a lot sooner. The 2nd time it happened I got a ticket coming home with only one headlight and it cost me $225 on the ticket. Ender

    HID's in my X

Yeah hidfoglight.com. The F250 kit was about 20 minutes of work(excluding time for my own mistakes). The other kit for my beamer was about 40-50 minutes, I had to drill a hole in my bulb holder, which is normal for these cars. Ender

    HID's in my X

BWard, the two kits that I got where from HIDFoglight.com. The 50W kit was a plug-n-play for my F250. My other kit is a standard 35W it came with the same parts but I had to modify the bulb holder on my car. As I hear it this is a problem with all BMWs so I don't think it was the kit. I have...

    HID's in my X

Well I "checked around the house" and found out that I am getting a digital camera for new years, so I will post mine up after that. Right now my camera bites the big toe. Ender

    HID's in my X

NASCAR Mike, I got mine in today too, installing it about 5 minutes not sure why you would need an extra hole. The only one I needed to drill for was my bmw had high/low option which came with an extra screw that I needed to knock out a space for. I would say test the bulb first before you...

    Power Inverter

Has anyone had any trouble with overloading the car's electrical? I put in a car pc, which sort of caused all sorts of havoc with my electrical all of a sudden. Take it back out and it went back to normal. The Car PC is a tiny little thing that fits where the radio goes and it doesn't draw...

    Need new fog lights

You can get HID lights in 4300K (white+yellow) or even 3000K (very yellow). I have them on my F150 and they work out great. Although I have to admit I have used them maybe twice in the past 2 years. Ender

    headlight bulbs....

My kits were plug-n-play as well. A friend of mine got one of their High/Low kits, which does have a small screw on the side of it to hold in the High Beam Halogen, that needed a small drill to knock out the hole for the screw head. That's really the only "modification" that I have had to do...

    Need new fog lights

I have not tried the external lights but I do have the regular headlights from http://www.hidfoglight.com. I have purchased a bunch of regular kits from them and are pretty happy with them. They are marked out of stock, but I think they told me they will have them in the first week of January...

    headlight bulbs....

I have purchased two kits from http://www.hidfoglight.com and I am very happy with both. Excellent pre-sales support, good post sales support. I have also ordered one of their 50W kits to test out on my F150 but it hasn't arrived yet (should be this week). Ender

    headlight bulbs....

Ok this is what I have seen and its not pumping more power to regular Halogens. I thought you guys had a way to make a 35W HID into a 50W for a lot cheaper. My 50W HID kit should be here on Thursday, I'm very excited. Early chrismas present for myself.

    headlight bulbs....

I had though of doing this with my F150 but it looks like its not a HID Xenon, its just pushing more power through the halogens which makes them twice as hot and will burn them out faster. I think NASCAR Mike is right and going with the 50W kit is the best solution. Ender

Well after I found out that PIAA was using the same components as the cheaper guys I rather not pay for their CEO getting a couple of million in bonuses. For half the money I can get something that has the same warranty and looks just as good.

I actually had no idea they had 50W systems. I just ordered two, from the description it looks pretty nice. I was looking their external truck lights too but they're out of stock on that and won't have them until January. The 50W they said about 2 weeks as a special order. Ender
