Start/No Start then Start/No Start. Not Fuel Filters...

Sounds to me like your fuel pump, or something fuel related (fuel pickup, lines, blocked filters, etc.). Any of my experiences with my 6L filling the fuel bowl only took seconds, and ended with fuel everywhere, like you described. Normally I’d say check your fuel pressure but obviously the...

    Gearing options

My Dually has 4:10’s. 6.0L diesel, automatic, on 35’s. I run right around 2100 rpm at 70mph, in OD. If you ask me 4:56’s are a little too much gear for 38’s. Backing her down to 4:10’s would be choice, should put you back in the 19-2000rpm range.

    2005 6.0 FICM(new Power Board)

I had a very similar problem with my ‘05. Mine had no prior issues or warnings, until one day it stalled, and would not start. After multiple tests I found that the FICM module (not the power supply) had a partially burnt circuit board. The damage was hardly noticeable until I completely...

    death wobble

I have a 2005 F350 DRW, lifted, on 35x12.5R17’s. Already equipped with a dual steering stabilizer kit. I had an issue with “death wobble”, replaced center link (tie rod ends), and drag link ends. Problem cured. Track bar bushings were still A-ok @250k km/ 150k m.

    Are the Optima's worth it?

I'm firm believer in the motorcraft batteries also. I've seen them go 8+ years without any problems.

Help Needed 92 F250 diesel hasn't been started in years...

From experience the best bet is to buy one of the complete kits with the plastic return fittings/ covers, o-rings, lines, and some include little strap ties/ clamps too. The mechanical 7.3's are a diehard motor, man I wish I still had one!

Looking for a bigger/brighter cargo light

I also have several of the recon LED lights and LED replacement bulbs on my 05. They are much brighter than the OE units but if you really want to light up your bed there LED bedrail/ cargo lights are extremely bright. I have two sets of them mounted in my enclosed snowmobile trailer.

    Matching Parts

The mirrors will work for sure along with all the stuff from the front doors. I'm pretty sure the rear doors (ex vs crew cab) are identical also.

I need to regear my truck

I had the same problem with my 2002 even running empty. It was a completely different truck after I installed the 4:56's. I would go with a set of 4:10's in your truck. They are probably cheaper too! Cheers, Patrick.

    Cab Clearance Light LED Bulbs

Recon does sell standard amber led clearance light kits too for around $80 or $90 if you were thinking of going that route.

    Cab Clearance Light LED Bulbs

I have all recon smoked led lights in my dually and they are a lot cleaner and much better looking. I know that you probably already have your clearance lights but if not recon (gorecon.com) sells complete led clearance light kits that are sealed and also come with the wiring. The kits are...

    Painting Front Bumper?

I have painted several chrome bumpers in the past. The first one I hit it with the DA sander to try to break the chrome finish and then primed and painted it. It didn't stick very well at all and most of the paint started to peal off in a short period of time. The second I sent the bumper out...

    Window Tint

I have mine done all around at 15%. You can see a little through the fronts during the day (from the outside looking in) and hardly anything in the back due to the factory smoked rear windows. My only complaint about the windows being so dark is that it's a little tricky to back-up at night...

    Tire Size Question

I had just over 200K miles on my 02, I only ever had to do the ball joints once and also had to replace one wheel bearing. I lifted it when it had 100K miles, ran 315's in the winter and 38's for the rest of the year. Some people might say different but I never had any serious problems wearing...

    Question Just need an answer

I also have the Bully Dog Power Pup on my truck. I have had it on there for 15K miles or so and no problems yet but the head gaskets were just done prior to me buying the truck. The head gaskets were done at around 50K miles and the truck was bone stock at that time. Cheers.

    Question 2008 20" rims & tires

I had good luck with the bolt-on spacers I used on my 2002. I took my chances and bought them off ebay. I got lucky I guess. I ran them on a lifted truck with 38x15.5R20 Mickey MTZ's without any problems at all. Just my 2c

    Tire Size Question

On my 02 I ran 315x75's (35x12.5's) on the stock 7.5" wide chrome steelies with out any problems but I did have to play with the pressure a little bit to get them to wear perfect. Mine never did hit the leaf springs even at full lock but they were A/T's not M/T's.

    HELP with 8" lift

with 37's you could get away with a 6" without any problems. I would avoid rear lift blocks and go with complete rear springs. It costs a little more but well worth the extra dough.

    Tranny Pan

I ran that exact tranny pan on my 02 except mine was made be derale. I ran it, re-routed the tranny lanes out of the rad, retaining the factory cooler and then used two aftermarket tranny coolers with a pusher fan up front right behind the grill. As hard I drove it, even in on the hot summer...
