egr valve Looks like it was a sticking EGR valve...cost to replace....$1500. May as well have been the fuel pump.- rugatika

ran poorly and now no run at all
My 2008 6.4 diesel was running fine this morning. I just got the oil changed 2 nights ago. Drove into town and it started hesitating...wouldn't run over 1500rpm and very hesitant. Parked in town and let it sit for an hour. Went out and started it and it would idle but I couldn't get enough...- rugatika

coolant leakage
warranty? Not sure if warranty will cover it as it would have to be under the engine warranty since I have almost 140,000kms on it. They might cover it, but I have my doubts. Also noticed my rear pinion seal is leaking now. These North American guys sure make a good case for buying...- rugatika

coolant leakage
Is anyone else having coolant leakage problems? Hit the highway in minus 30 celsius weather a couple weeks ago and lost my hot air. Turned around and went back into town to a lube-x and the coolant was down 8 liters (almost 2 gallons).. Haven't noticed any leaks, but it went somewhere.- rugatika

2008 super duty A/C problems
obvious Always look for the obvious first. :confused: belt was thrown off as well as the tensioner pulley. Main belt looks like it has to come off first to get the AC belt on. Doesn't look like the easy job it was on my chev. Hopefully I can get it on tonight. Oh yeah. They said AC not...- rugatika

2008 super duty A/C problems
2008 f350 lariat with 90,000kms. Driving home in +32 degree CELSIUS weather (HOT) and the A/C quit working. Checked all the fuses and relay under the hood and they're all good. Is it possible that I need a refrigerant recharge already?? Just wondering if anyone has had any similar issues...- rugatika

Aftermarket consoles?
Howdy everyone. Picked up my 08 SD this past July and so far have 60,000km's on it. So far so good. The tank seems to empty pretty quick, but I've heard there is a calibration problem with the guage so hopefully that will get fixed. 115 liter tank and the most I've ever put in is 90 liters...- rugatika
