    bigger tires

33 12.5 will fit no problem, but really is barely any bigger than stock. That size does allow a pretty good choice of treads tho.

Very true, but they were most common thru the 80's.

    Hydrogen generator?

The 5.0l was probably the most common Ford truck engine made, simply called the 302 prior to fuel inj. Was used in pretty much all their vehicles at one time or another, especially from 1980 on. 4.6 and 5.4 started being used in 97, with the restyled f150's and light duty f250 that was around...

    Truck VIOLENTY shakes after lift

Those angles actually look pretty much the same as my stock 05. The last pic looks kinda wonky, but it could be the camera angle. With the bent bar tho, I would kinda think there would be more angle change throughout the susp travel than there would be with a straight bar and dropped bracket...

    Truck VIOLENTY shakes after lift

In terms of the drop pitman, it kinda depends. Technically, you want your track bar and draglink to be on the same angle, with the ends as close to the same point as possible. Icon uses the bent track bar to get around using a drop pitman I would guess, but it must make for some funny angles.

    Question hypertech max energy programmer?

Have had one in mine for a while, seems to be really good. Excellent power, and mileage very much improved over the factory program. I bought the truck used, and it was getting around 15mpg on the hwy, now getting about 19 ish. As stated above, the extra power makes it way nicer to drive also...

    Question I have a question?

Totally normal, basically just supposed to keep crap out of the axle tube, but they all end up like that. Usually doesn't take long either.

    Question on Trucks

I never calculated, as I was running free company fuel, but the onboard comp showed 20ish on the hwy, this was with a prog, intake, and turbo back exhaust. Oh yeah, this was a 2003 7.3l cc lb 4x4.

    SMART CAR's are pretty tough...

My thoughts are that a flat wall crash test is meaningless when you rearend a lifted superduty, or any other truck, and get a nice mouthful of trailer hitch.

Looking for information on a Detroit 318.

Could always track down a "5 over 4" dual tranny setup, lol, probly wouldn't fit, but a blast to drive once you get them figured out.

Personally, I would love to get my hands on a 6v53 to put in my Bronco, or similar type of 4x4.

Look into a 6v71 or 92, good power and a lttle smaller/lighter. I ran a seismic drill rig years ago with a 6v53, man did that thing scream, good little engine also tho. Nice thing is, no electronics whatsoever, and you can damn near do a full teardown with a handfull of common wrenches.

    replacement tires: questions!

For a stock size tire, the Toyo M-55 are hard to beat, they last almost forever. The 285's get pretty noisy, but the smaller ones are good. I had good luck with the Yokohama Geolandar's too.

Looking for information on a Detroit 318.

Look around on ebay, was a few remans on there a while back. They are a noisy, leaking, but very long lasting, reliable engine. Quick revving, and yeah, fairly powerful. Ceck them out here. Detroit Diesel Series 71 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The oil rigs I work on have used...

    More Mpg?

Everything I've read says the flowthru's or tailgate removal actually will cost you mileage. Never tested this just passing on what I have read.

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Cool, yeah, I have the tall blocks, so I think for ease of install, I'll just add in their block also. Don't really want to make the rear any stiffer than it is, and I'm pretty sure the extra leaf would. By the way, forgot to mention, the truck looks great. Good to see another driveway...
