    Adding a ATS turbo housing.. what about a rebuild kit?

    I had a WW inmy truck it solved some of the surge but did not fix it. A while back I put the ATS on it with the Stock wheel the surge stopped. I also recomend rons turbo shop. I rebuilt my turbo for 94 bones. Off topic...I have a stock wheel if anyone wants to trade there WW for it:sly..

    Yes the BTM wil quiet it down. Do the foil delete mod too. Tymar intake will help with the sound. Have fun!! :D

    axle wrap

    Could be the slip joint on the drive shaft. I think it is called slip yoke?? A little cleaning then some grease an no more thunking. JMHO.

    Its just that..!!! It is insulating the turbo noise. I always wondered why my dads sounded louder than mine. Then I saw his insulation was not on. So after one very deep cut, many choice words and three beers I got my insulation off. Almost worth it. But it does sound louder.:cool:

    Question grind at low rpm on takeoff

    I talked to my tranny guy he told me if I wanted to throw a quart of 50wht oil in there. I did and it quieted it down some. Mostly I could tell shifting was smoother. Other than that these trannies growl/grind when there at slow speeds. When I have to do something that slow I put it in low. :D

    while under ther check the carrier bearing too. I had a vibration that was not fixed with the U-joints then I replaced the carrier and it stoped. JMHO:D

    pop the intske off at the turbo and see if it looks or feels bad. I would also look to make sure the "Y" pipes in the engine valley were still on. They can pop off easily. I hope its as simple as a boot. Good luck ;tu
