If you change your own oil use 5w 40 syn. in the winter, Yes I know it cost 12-14 a gallon as aposed to 7 but if you need the 40 protection in the summer you need it in the winter spring fall. Cheape insurance. Run 15w 40 the rest of the year. And don't let a dealer tell you that you need...- foster
