Question 05 Transfer case unlocking

Ok ,my 2005 , the other day I was plowing snow and the transfer case went to 2 wd ? and stayed there , had it scanned out ,, dealer said dash switch was bad , put a new switch in today , plowed for about 40 min , same thing again ? went to 2wd ? now it's stuck in the snow bank !! any idea's guys ? thanks

There is a motor that controls four wheel/two wheel drive. The dash switch tells the motor to go to one or the other mode. It sounds like the drive motor is getting forced out of four wheel into two wheel drive mode. You can change the motor and see what happens. Did the dealer see any codes? This is your clue to what is wrong. They will be in the form P0123.

thanks for the reply , somebody unlocked one front hub ? locked it in , been working for 3 hours no problem , thanks again
