I put a chip in it & it said to hook it up to the ICP LB/LG wire & I did, it work great for about 2 days & the wire fell on a hot spot on engine & shorted out. I replaysed 2 fuses but now the the truck won't start & disconected the chip the SES light is on when all the idoit lights turn off & this truck is new to me so i don't have a code puller to see what it is showing.
its hard to say without seeing codes for the SES light. it could be a fried pcm, open icp circuit, fried icp.................or a number of other electrical related things.
did you check ALL fuses with a test light, or just the ones under the dash / visual inspection?
I pulled all the fuses under dash checked each 1 & pulled the ones in the fuse block under hood that refered to any items besides the tow & lights. I'm woundering if may maybe I bloue HPOP or something. I just contacted the manufacturer of the chip he said you can diconect the ICP & the truck should start. So grounding out chip or ICP probly there is another ploblem
Thanks
are you talkin about the one you bought from advance?if so those scanners wont work on your truck.the generic code readers that the parts stores sell do not work on the ford diesels.
Yes the from advance auto. When you plug it in it asks for year model, & engine & it came back passed where the other one kept erroring out. so i'm baffled
