You really have that many miles on your rig? What all have you had to replace?

I thought i saw some specs that said around 400hp, 700 tq, 17-21 mpg. Not sure on that.

Thanks for the 2011 Diesel info Clint. I did read where the oil capacity would be only 13 qts on the new 6.7 Diesel. My old 7.3 has had regular (motorcraft) oil changes and maintenance as required by Ford Manual, and no major parts failures in all those miles. Did replace the old CPS,shocks, brakes (3 times)filters, and tires . Great truck--I hope the next PSD gets 22 MPG like my reliable old 7.3 !! Thanks again !

Wow!! I knew the 7.3's are known for being one hell of a motor, but damn. 759,000 miles is crazy!!! Especially since you never replaced anything major. That makes me want to take even better care of my rig!

P.S. I think id hold onto the old one just to see if you can run it over a million.

759k????

Are you sure your truck has that kind of mileage? Your stats state only 83K assuming you entered that when you joined here in 05, that's a chunk of miles for 5 years about 135k a year. Something is not right with that? Or are you the Powerstrokehelp.com guy that hammers :burnit the truck on propane, nitrous, chips, and gets that kind of mileage on a short block. Please tell me I'm wrong.

I read somewhere it is going to have around 4-500hp and 720lb/ft of torque. Also 3 more mpg than the 6.4.

You must be doing a LOT of running. I have an older 96 PSD (all stock) that has 575,000 miles on it. It used to be my dads and he could drive 3,000 miles a week, for months, during his busy season. But I don't doubt for a bit that a powerstroke would do it. Is it true if you get 1,000,000 miles on a powerstroke you will get a new one?

I'd probably wait on sticking the 6.7L in my truck. Like when the 6.0 first came out, ppl went crazy buying them. Shortly after that they started have major issues and recalls. I'd let other ppl run it for about a year or 2 and let them figure out the bugs for me and let the engineers work out the kinks.

Only 3 sets of brakes in 759,000 miles? I don't think so...

Dave

I can do you one better, 3 sets of pads, and rotors, and 858,000 miles. The original set made it to 292,000. How about this, original ball joints replaced at 221,000 miles, and still on the Moog replacements, that is 637,000 miles, and still good. How about 462,000 miles on a BTS tranny. These numbers are for real, no BS.

You must throw out the anchor to stop. I have gotten about 60,000 - 70,000 miles on my pads. This is the fifth truck I have owned and they all get less that 70,000 on pads or shoes.
