Hello all,

I order a new 21 f250 diesel tremor over a month ago. Switching from Cummins because of there cp4 failures. I just heard that ram went back to the CP3 for 2021. I also heard that Ford has the same CP4 and just upped the fuel pressure for 2021. Is this true? Sorry I am just learning about power strokes so please forgive me. Is the CP4 failure a power stroke thing also? I guess it would not make a difference since I’ve falling for the blue oval.
My KR that’s on order.

CP4 failures in powerstrokes are certainly a thing. The main cause is a loss of lubricity in the fuel which is normally from fuel contaminants like water or DEF.

Bottom line is to keep up on fuel filter service intervals and fuel up at trusted and/or high traffic fuel stations.
