I bout an 2008 f350 6.4 with a seized motor as a project truck. I pulled the glow plugs hoping it was hydro-locked it was still locked up. The tip of the number 6 glow plug appeared to be crushed and broken off?? there is no metal in the oil, with a pipe wrench i can turn the crank back and forth a 1/4 turn. Any ideas on what happen to this thing? Thanks

Our guess would be as good as yours.. You won't know 'til you tear it down.

But If the #6 GP was crushed.. #6 piston traveled to far.. which could mean.. wrist pin, rod, rod bearing cap, crank shaft issues.

Not Good.

You have a rod that is bent and is binding. The 1/4 turn is my clue. As Joe said "Not good."
