7.3L IDI Glow Plug Relay System Testing Procedure

The Glow plug system is a different beast on the 7.3L IDI. So I made a recent video on how to test it and what all these extra wires are compared to the newer 7.3L Powerstroke engines. I hope this helps as information on the early 7.3L engines can be scarce at best.

I have replaced this on my truck 3 times over the years (500k miles) and have never understood it or WHY? Thanks for the video. One time my Dad and I took one apart and tried to rebuild it nevertheless, it did not work... After I replace my rear end... Ugh. I will be replacing this a 4th time, It sucks because these are expensive.

I don't think I have ever seen a blue one!

Covered it fairly well. First thing to check is usually the connector near the valve cover where the power comes in. They like to melt near there.
Then making sure all the glowplugs themselves are good.
