A happy ending to a sad story.

As I had stated earlier, my 5th wheel tailgate came down and destroyed the cargo door on our 5th wheel and also the tailgate. After much research, I found out that the tailgate was not installed properly. In the instructions, it says to install the grommets from the factory tailgate into the new 5th wheel tailgate along with the supplied spacers. This was not done on mine. After telling my woes to the manufacturer,
HANDY INDUSTRIES in Iowa, they said that they would send me a new replacement tailgate at no cost. It was not their fault, but they were nice enough to send me a new one. Wow,,, what a good company. It was the fault of the local dealer who's installers did not read the instructions. I am very impressed with Handy Industries, and they will sell direct to the customer.
