no problems, just a comment..
awhile back, some had posted a thread about a truck stalling when shifted from drive to reverse..
IIRC, the problem on that truck ended up being a chafed wire, but...
I had posted a comment (and got a "Huh?" response) about checking the trans fluid level... my truck has been known to do this from time to time...

I got an answer from Joe the Trans Builder today..
he said that when the level of the fluid exposes the fluid pickup in the trans, the clutches don't have enough pressure to stay applied (low and reverse taking the most pressure & fluid) because they have the most hydraulically going on in the trans.

so there's the answer.
now, all I have to do is find my fluid leak that only seems to happens when I tow the horse trailer and doesn't leave any dripples or puddles...

If your trans fluid goes down without any external leaks, check the fluid level in your transfer case. The trans and t-case are separate items but if the seal between the two fails, the trans fluid will go in the t-case. I can't remember if the radiator has a trans cooler in it but if it does, pink gunk in the coolant reservior is a sign of the cooler leaking. Gil
