At work today I heard a rumor.....

That Ford was offering $2500.00 incentives to trade in your 03, 03 PSD's because of all the problems they have had. Anyone out there know about this? My dealer didn't tell me(like they would anyway) when I bought mine Monday. I heard it from 2 different people. They said they heard it on the radio.

This just announced by Ford Motor Company! Marc Heitz Ford has a HUGE selection of these trucks so take full advantage of $2,500 on top of the already unprecidented rebates on F-Series Diesel trucks.


Eligible Customers

Those original owners of a 2003/2004-Model F-Super Duty equipped with a 6.0L Diesel who purchase a new 2005/2006 F-Super Duty. Original owners of a 2003/2004-Model Super Duty don't have to still retain their truck to be eligible.

its not just 03 models...ive gotten post card type "invites/coupons"
for "customer loyalty" if i trade my '04 on a new 250 or 350.

personally 2500 is a drop in the bucket when you consider the truck
is 40k +...and in all honesty anyone can get 2500+ off the sticker

theyre hurting sales wise (on everything)...and i dont doubt the
the negative press & quailty control issues on 03's has hurt
their diesel sales...

im happy w/ mine...its been trouble free for the most part & ive
done alot of work getting it where i want it...i dont wanna start
over...and certainly not for 2500 bucks.

i'll paraphrase from a mag. article:
Bonus incentives for ps owners? automotive news is noting that ford is offering $2500 to the purchase of a new diesel-if you own an 03-04 sd w/ a 6l ps. this is said to be a make-good offer for the troubles the engine has been giving to owners due to the wire harness problem that caused rough idle, stalling and lack of power. about 250,000 customers are eligible.
good, bad or indifferent, i am sure some will take up fomoco on the offer.

Was it 99.5 The Wolf? Justin (the traffic guy) does ads for Sam Pack Ford dealerships. I think he's also done a TV ad for them. He always closes (as he does his traffic reports) with: "See ya down the road".

I would check. If it is a FMC deal the dealership may be required to offer it. If they didnt, what happened to that $$$? I would definitely ask.
