BD Diesel makes an exhaust brake for the 6.7. However: the earlier model rigs have a timer on the system that senses back pressure, and if it isn’t resolved in 1 minute or less it will throw a code, and if still there it will go into reduced power mode and eventually shut down. I have found an adjustable timer, but not sure about the following.
My question...
#1- are the earlier 2011-2014 turbo chargers ok with the exhaust brake.
#2- Does anyone here have one from BD Diesel and does it provide good hold back? I’m installing disc brakes on the trailer but still wondering?
