Gurus,

Maybe someone can assist me - My OD indicator blinks every now and again. My tranny gauge never goes over 150* and most of the time it starts blinking before i ever exceed 50 mph and long before 3rd gear lockup.

I was figuring this was due to being about 1/2 quart low on tranny fluid - filled that up today and light blinked tonight for the first time in over a month...

I do not notice any shift slippage or hard lockup. One thing that might be an issue is i run on 39.5" tires with 20s and i have not re-geared the axles yet. Soon i will be putting on another 6" lift (totalling 18") and 46" Goodyears - then i will have to gear it down the a set of 5:13s in order to keep from cooking my T/C...

Any suggestions would certainly be welcome

TIA

You'll have to get the codes read to be sure, something in the tranny wasnt where the PCM expected it to be so it set the code. And it sounds like it is continuing to set it.

When mine was blinking, I noticed that my speedo wasn't reading correctly. Turned out to be the RABS sensor in the housing of the rear differential. $20 and 10 minutes and she never blinked again.

Dude...

get a code reader, or stop by Auto Zone and see if they can pull transmission codes

BEFORE YOU GUESS ANY PARTS
