c v joint 1992

Hi guys been awhile, hows everyone doing?

I have a vibration in the front end of my f350 i was greasing everythign under there last night and checked the two ujoints close to the t case and found they were ok but there was alot of slack in the yokes isn't there a cv joint like the chevy's have in between those two ujoints? autozone didn't have any parts but it looks like there is one in there. help please, thanks.

i think you are talking about the "double cardan" joint. between the two ujoints there is a ball and socket type thing that gets play in it. they are rebuildable, napa has gotten me parts for them before.

chevy's actually have cv joints, totally different.

Oh thankyou I will call them tomorrow, thats what I get for driving chevs, hehe, any tricks you guys know about to changing them out or is it pretty easy? thanks again ,lee
