I fell prey to the white/gray dipstick and ASSUME'd it was full.
well in florida before our trip home i checked the level. the oil was black and read 1 qt low
added a quart, drove a few hundred miles checked it again...
this time it was overserviced past the top of the marker plastic bulge thingy
yep it was level or normal stance to be exact, tail high
so has anyone figured out a sure fire way to check the oil level in the 6.0
i was surprised the oil turned black all of the sudden, it has been very clear over the last few K miles.
we have just over 5k on the oil now and rapidly approaching change number 2
