Hi i have a 2002 ford 4x4 CC 7.3 PS and the doors will not unlock with the keyless remote or the switchs in the front doors. Oh and when i say they dont unlock i dont mean they more alittle i mean they dont work at all no clicking no moving or anything. When this happened the auto headlights stoped working also. Does anyone know what it could be and does anyone have a wire diagram for this truck that they could e-mail or fax me let me know. Thanks a lot

Check fuses. My power windows went the other day, just had a fuse burn out is all.

Hopefully it is not the GEM, but it is entirely possible.

QUOTE=bad_bad_bubba]Have you checked all your fuses?[/QUOTE]

Yes i have checked every single fuse and they are all fine.

Today at lunch i was sitting in my truck reading the owners manual to see if i caould find anything that might help and the door locks sounded like they moved and the truck honked really quick, and i did not move anything.

One thing that i forgot to add in my first post was that when i open the door the radio keeps playing when it should shut off and when the truck is running the light for a open door is always on it is like to truck is not able tell what is up with the door. does the GEM control any or all of the items that i have listed, and if it is the GEM how much money does one of those cost.

Sorry for the long post, and any suggestions anyone has would great because i will try what ever to get this problem fixed THANKS.

That lil GEM can cause all kinds of gremlins to unleash their fury on your system. Aliens may emerge from under the dash if the stars are aligned properly.

Yes it does. You might want to check and see if it is loose before replacing it.
yes it does. which ones or does it control all of them. and check if the GEM is loose or the wires going to it.

I am outside right now tring to get to the bottom of this problem and if i'm right the GEM has 3 different pluds going to it right the left and middle plugs have a bunch of wires in them and the right one just has one orange wire going to it. i dont know which wire i move but when i move something down their the doors locks make some noise and i have even got it to honk.

What can i check to see if they are loose because i have tried pushing on the wires and that doesn't do much.

I still have not found out why my door locks will not work, but i was thinking if one of the actuators went out or something would that cause the problem that i am having, or would it be that the one that went out would be the only one that wouldn't work.
