Down Pipe Clearance

I have a four inch downpipe on my 2001 F250 that is contacting the cab badley if I turn it so that it doesn't hit I can't connect the pip[es together. Has anyone put a dent in their fire wal to egt the clearence and if so how big and with what.

Try loosening the clamp where the downpipe attaches to the turbo. There is a little bit of slop there, not a lot, but enough where it sometimes makes a difference.

Get every thing loosely connected and put a temporary spacer shimm between the down pipe and where it is making contact. Start tightening at the turbo outlet and work backwards.
