according to this picture, looks like the dpf is gonna be something hard to defeat. It almost appears to be the muffler too - as there is an additional resonator - it will be interesting to see what the exhaust companies come up with for these new trucks.

Exhaust
• California emissions system and 50 State
emissions system are now available for 5.4L
gasoline engine and automatic transmission in
F-250 and F-350 pickup models.
• New diesel emissions requirements for CY 2007
and beyond require the use of a Diesel
Particulate Filter (DPF). The 6.4L Super Duty
uses a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), which
mates with the DPF to meet new emissions
standards. The resonator/tailpipe assembly has
a functional twin tip diffuser which should not be
modified. It works in conjunction with the
DPF/DOC assembly to reduce outlet exhaust
gas temperature.

so yep
if you mess with the emission stuff you wil be flirty with the fedralies...

just how HOT is this new exhuast going to be??

I bet you HOT. Exhaust in Sterling trucks run under the floor and the floor mats will start to melt after a few months.

If it's anything like the Detroit's, about 1250 F at the tip under load...
