With the length of my truck and all, Ive been having issues with people not seeing my turn singnals or their just stupid, and they will stay dead even with the bed of the truck and wont allow me to murge.. Are there any laws or anything that will prevent me from tieing my dually clearance lights up to my turn signals so Im more visual to others especially when Im towing when I need to merge?

cant imagine any law against the LOWER / marker lights being used
as signal lights...lots of cars have turn/marker lights on the fenders
(audi comes to mind)

im not sure 'bout the cab/marker lights though.

you could make the running board/marker lights SEQUENTIAL w/ one of
these http://www.webelectricproducts.com/products.htm

I did this with an Ford dually (93) I used the front lights as signals and marker lights and the rears as marker lights and brake lights. I got new bulb sockets that fit into the stock lenses that used two element bulbs. I used a 4 pin reese trailer wiring loom that plugs into the factory tail light harness. It worked very well.

my lights are LED's would I need to do something special to it or just put in a relay because of the low current draw?

I am not sure. I haven't had the joy of wiring up any leds yet just installed a few stock led replacement bulbs.

I also plan to do this on my dually. For the same issue when trying to change lanes. In Texas we do not have a law preventing the use of extra turn signals or brake. As long as the bulbs/ lens to rear are red in color and the others have to be amber/orange.
