Ok, Truck is back safe and sound and I'm 1200 lighter in the wallet!
As explained to me; "The EGR cooler assembly became clogged (they did not say why) which set code P0401. cooler could not be cleaned do to EPA regulations" I have the old part and play around with it.
I did ask about the exhaust gas temp sensor 'Field Service Action #15MO2'
"We can not replace that (temp sensor) until a specific DTC is stored"
