Engine Service soon Light

The service engine soon light just came on my 2001 PSD Excursion. I barrowed a engine scaner from Auto Zone to check the code. The code came up as P0677 Glowplug / heater curcuit #7. Does this mean the glowplug needs to be replaced? If so is this something I can do myself?

I'm pretty good with a wrench but I'm new to diesel any help will be appreciated.

Well the check engine light came on again while towing back to the stealer it goes. Only goes on while towing. Sure glad it went on originally b4 it hit 36k
