Hello all,

I have the 2008 6.4 tt. I went to Sonic for my morning Coke. While waiting for my drink, a F-450 dually pulled in next to me. When I started to back out, my backup sensor sounded twice and then my truck just died.... While trying to restart my truck the 450 moved to a stall on the end. I'm guessing he thought he was block my way. When I tried to restart it, it hesitated a couple of times. Then the truck started and has been running fine since. Supposed to make a trip to Dallas with my 5th wheel and am a little hesitant.
Right now I have 10450 miles on her and have changed the oil once at 5000 with Mobile 1. I have not used any type of fuel additive, but the truck seems to be running fine right now..

Please advise.

DeFord,

I run the Ford Cetane boost and it seems to help quite a bit with mileage. As for your truck dying though, I have never experienced this. Good luck to you and certainly be prepared to pull that program out of the ECM.

Shutdown/backup sensor link

On a different post there is some talk about not being able to get the backup sensors if you have the idle shutdown feature. Sounds to me like there may be some programming that causes the 2 to interact? Somethin to think about.
