Excursion Grill swap

I have been looking into possibly putting a later model Super Duty grill in my 04 Excursion. I cant find any threads regarding this. Is this a direct replacement or do they have to be trimmed to fit. I have seen some on E-bay. Any feed back or experience with this?

welcome SD. yes, you would have to trim some off the bottom of an '05 grill or later to make it fit.

unless you did the complete front end converson. which means you change the grill, bumper, headlights, etc.


i have seen some that have been cut to git without doin the frontend conversion, and they looked pretty good.

as for the grill i guess it depends on what year you want to install
and if you want to change JUST the grill or the head lights too.

there are CUT down versions of the 05-07 grills available on ebay.

an 08 grill would require an entire front clip swap...since the grill is
part of the hood.
