Exhaust recommendations

I am a newbie to the 6.0 powerstroke engines. I had a 01 7.3 and it ran great. I recently purchased an 03 Limited with the 6.0 and it is bone stock. Now believe it or not the ONLY reason I bought an 03 limited was due to how awesome the turbo sounds. Now with that being said I have heard a few 03 6.0's that the turbo is screaming loud just idling then when you start rolling into the throttle it really screams! Thats exactly what I want!! What system would you recommend for the loudest turbo sound? Also I know the intake has some to do with it as well so any info will help.

I also have an 05 duramax and i have put a straight exhaust from the down pipe and a K&N intake and I know my truck has the VVT turbo but it is no where near as loud as the powerstoke. So, I needed a 4x4 for work so I figured I would just buy the sound I am looking for!

I've got the MBRP turbo back on mine. Exhaust isn't any louder in the cab than stock, except for the turbo whine. Outside.....well, that's a different story. Much louder and the turbo whine is pretty loud. You could make it louder if you didn't install the muffler and one other thing....

Anything more free flowing than the HUGE stock boat anchor of a muffler will allow your 03's turbo to shine - er, ah, whine

I tried the no muffler on my 03, but it was too loud, put a 3.5" to 4" turbo back and it was just right when I put the cat back on it...

the new owners loved it...

welp....it has a 3.5 down pipe and then goes to a 4 then into a 5 inch all the way back to a 5 inch tip and all i have to say is .......OMG!!!! The turbo sings to me and everyone else when i am going through a parking lot and when i take off from a light till about 40 mph then you hear the motor come into play. I am stoked though!!!

I for one, will 100% recommend MBRP, i love the sound of that turbo! Plus it sounds like my friends Dodge V8

The MBRP is the only one we will reccomend as the others seem to have a real drone issue with the big interior of the EX. They are available in aluminized, 409 and 304 stainless. Just call us and we'll be glad to help you with one, or any questions you might have.

hey 2005diesel there might be something wrong with your truck if is sounds llike a dodge you might want te get that fixed its not something to be bragging about

Mark - you mean it fixes the 60 to 62 mph (1900 rpm or so) turbo pedastel drone ???
