I traveled with a buddy this week pulling cigarette boats to Florida and we kept track of mileage just for curiosity. Well, he beat me to death!! Loaded he got an average of 15 and I got an average of 9! Unloaded he got an average of 20 and I got an average of 14! This sucks!! He was driving an '05 dually crew 4x4 auto with 4.11 gears and has 36k and some change. Mine is listed below and I have 53k and some change. Why? We were lucky to hit 65mph loaded and traveled 75ish empty. We clocked over 2k miles round trip and fueled at the same place and the same time. Do I have to buy a D*$&% for better mileage I hope not but boy am I losing money!!!

Thanks
Scott

Did you by chance compare his gallons at fill up to yours?

A buddy called me this morning. He said he just bought one of those ugly arse dodges with the jumbo cab and no bed. It has some motor that comes from the factory with a 3 position to 120hp chip, 4" exhaust, blah, blah, blah

Said he would never buy another Ford, blah, blah, blah

Said Ford owned Cummins, blah, blah, blah

Said the new F450 & F550 come with Cummins motors, blah, blah, blah

I tell you what, that guy USED to know what he was talking about. Now he just knows nada. Must be some kind of mind altering new truck scent from the factory that makes you tell stories.:dunno :dunno

F650 and up is the only current way to get a 5.9 inline six cummins, or a cat

450 and 550 still are only avail with the 6.0 or v-10
dont know where these guys get this stuff
and for what it worth the 650 with the inline 6 cummins is a bit UNDERPOWERED. really i drove tons of em last summer

you can get a f650 with a 6.0 psd if your inlcined but its derated as is the cummins.
the cats are the way to go in a 650 or 750
just my nickle
