I have a new-to-me 99 F-250 and noticed an oil leak. It is on the front of the oil pan, directly underneath the crankshaft pulley. Does this sound like a crankshaft seal gone bad? Any tips on replacing it would be appreciated.

Are you sure it is oil and not diesel? The drain for the fuel filter is on the right side of the timing cover and could run down there. Otherwise, I would expect either the front crankshaft seal or the front of the oil pan gasket.

Pretty sure it's not diesel. The leak originates under the pulley and goes down the oil pan. Drips straight down onto the steering linkage when its parked.
