Help Needed front hub 2001 4x4

having trouble with needle bearing in front hub going bad replaced once bad again have to keep locked in to spin shaft with hub. is anyone else experiencing this.

i had a similar problem on a customers truck, but it was the wheel bearings that were loose. it would let the hub cock enough to engage the locking splines partially and make a terrible grinding noise. i ended up replacing the entire unitized hub assembly.

I have seen this same thing on a F-250 that was transpoted to the lower 48 from Alaska. The guy that owned it left the hubs in for an extended period of time. The only thing I could figure was all of the moisture eventual took it toll on the front bearings. I replaced both front hub assmeblies and now she runs like a champ.
