I have an early 99 powerstroke and fuel is dripping from tube which runs to fuel bowl to purge air out of bowl. I see this piece is bolted onto the side of the fuel bowl. What is this part called and is it what needs replaced? I've opened and closed it a couple times, but the leak continues on. I hope you guys can help me out.

your leak is more than likely the o-rings in the fuel bowl valve drain assembly. You can go and buy the whole valve from the dealer for around $50 or try your international dealer.

If you can wait, for much cheaper you can order the o-rings from Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines and repair it yourself.

good luck!
