Fumoto Oil Pan Valve

I installed one yesterday and I just realized that the valve stem is sitting approx. 3/4'' high in my oil pan . there has got to be atleast 2 qts. of inevitable jism slop that will never make its way out. What the hell was I thinking? Im the guy who keeps a damn magnet on the bottom of my pan to catch all the jism and metal . I also dont like the idea of a teflon seal on a brass fitting. Its being returned or for sale in 3500 miles.
