Took the truck down to get the e-test on it done today and it failed right off the bat. Guys said that there was a leak at the top of the fuel bowl and the drain by the filter or something. I'm new to this diesel stuff so I didn't even really pretend to know what they were talking about. BUT since I just bought the truck and per Colorado law the seller has to ensure that the vehicle passes emissions, they're paying to it all fixed up. The guy at the shop I went to is on one of the 4x4 boards I frequent too so they're check anything else out and let me know what's up.
SO, any negative effects short or long term this could cause? I'm assuming mileage will go up at least a little bit since leaking fuel obviously can't be burned, but anything else I should be on the watch for?
