Hello All

FYI pertaining to Gooseneck Hitch - CODY - Great design
My Notes to follow:
For documented reference while its fresh in my mind
-After considerable research
-Reviewing many Gooseneck hitches for Ford F250 FX4 Model Yr 2006 – Regular Cab Long Bed
-Was leaning towards B&W turnoverball until it appeared that the Release latch under fender well would interfere with my PacBrake air bags
Send e-mails to B&W + PacBrake but didn’t get a response that was satisfactory -- both stated not certain if compatible
B&W Custom Truck Beds, Inc.
PacBrake - Exhaust and Engine Brakes for Automotive, Motorhome, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Vehicles -

-So continued on with my search
-Came across the CODY Gooseneck Hitch during my search via Dogpile Web Search Home Page
htttp://www.google.com
-CODY has a Great design that eliminates the latch under fender well
-Release & Ball is all contained within the Truck Bed
-Plus it’s a see thru hole, doesn’t capture dirt, doesn’t freeze up, and no latch mechanism under truck to rust etc
-As part of CODY installation kit, a pilot tool is provided
-After hitch is 100% mounted / bolted and centered as required
-From underneath truck insert pilot tool into gooseneck hole, drill up thru bed
-Now you have an Exact pilot hole for reference inside bed
-Now drill your final Hole using pilot hole in bed as reference
-Everything matches exactly
-No measuring and hoping for the best as is the case on other Hidden hitch solutions / turn over ball

FIVE main reasons I selected CODY
1) It was a hidden hitch / turn over ball / when not in use flat bed full use of
2) NO drill into Truck Frame adapter plates
3) DIY installation practices - saving me big bucks
4) Didn’t interfere with PacBrake air Bags already installed
5) Heavy duty construction
Rated at 35,000 Lbs GVW
7500 Lbs Gross Tongue weight

Numerous web sites / dealers selling the CODY Gooseneck Hitch
-Once I decided on the CODY Gooseneck
-Then went into the mode of searching for BEST price
-Again used Dogpile and Google
-Came across Web dealer
thecodyhitch.com
-Called and spoke with Dale Tel # (580)272-6803
-New 2008 pricing for Cody Hitch = $ 369.
-New 2008 pricing for NO drill adapter plate for my Truck = $ 45.
-New 2008 pricing for Cody cushion = $ 449
-NO Tax on all
-FREE ship on all

Three Items in total pending shipment as follows:
1) Extra Heavy Duty CODY Universal Gooseneck Hitch – Part # A050
2) NO Drill adapter plate for Ford F250 my model Year of 2006
3) Cody Cushion

Received all Three items via UPS on August 18th 2008 ( Monday )
-Inventoried all items
-Installation went as planned this evening - Aug 20, 2008 ( Wednesday )
-A great gooseneck hitch heavy duty without doubt in my humble viewpoint
-Easy install
-All brackets for lowering the Diesel exhaust so no interference with Gooseneck hitch
-High quality bolts
-I also would highly recommend the no drill kit especially if you either have Air bags or plan to ADD them in future
NOTE: I did have to drill TWO holes on each side of truck thru PacBrake bracket then thru CODY Adapter plate
-Hope this helps a bit

Good evening to all

John from Colfax NC :D
