My gray water tank indicator always reads empty. I haven't crawled under to even look at it. Where would it be and what does it take to fix?

sounds like somethin is holding the sender unit down probably. Usually it would be next to your black water tank. My camper had the tank in the frame rails and were held on by big straps like on our trucks fuel tank.

What kind and what year is your RV? Sounds like you
may have a wire broke or come undone.

They make a chemical additive to dump in the black or gray tank to try and clean the fluid level sensors, I believe Thetford and others make it. Might be worth a shot, only a few bucks.

the level senders are optimistic at best....
try removing the screws that hold down each wire and cleaning the contacts then re-attach the wires.
also a good scrubbing of the inerds works wonders on crud build up

put in some powered calgon laundry water softener and 10 or so gallons of water, drive around the block, let sit over night then flush it out...it will remove the gunk build up and costs nickles to do...

ours go haywire all the time.
never reads empty, EVER :D
