I am putting this topic here because it says engine and drivetrain. Reason for this is because I have a drivetrain question.

O.K., my truck is an 05 PSD DRW. What I wanting to know is: Has this happened to any of you guys and is this a bad thing? Also would like to know if the warranty would cover this item to be replaced.

In the front diff ( i think that is what it is called ) where the axle shaft connects. There looks like a seal is suppose to be there and the one on each side of my truck seems to be floating around. This rubber seal is still on the diff. just not where it is suppose to be ( i guess ).

I will have to get pictures in the morning of what I am talking about so you guys can see and have a better idea and hopefully help me out.

Talking pictures in the dark sucks but it bothered me enough that I had to do it because I believe my explaination sucked.

In the first picture I am pointing at the seal:

This next picture is the seal itself:

Totally normal, basically just supposed to keep crap out of the axle tube, but they all end up like that. Usually doesn't take long either.

F250gal,

What were you doing when that happened? Glad it was covered under warranty for you.
