idler pulley

i need to replace the idler pulley for the serp. belt . any one know if that bolt has right or left hand threads ? thanks chuck:

I has regular right hand threads, ie righty tighty lefty loosy. DO NOT get the replacement idler, the replacement is plastic and is junk, knock the bearing out and replace the bearing.....cheaper too, I think the bearing is under 10.00

That's what I hear but in May '05 I got a replacement and it was not plastic. Did I get lucky?

i got one a few months ago and it was steel

Sweet, musta went back to steel, come to think of it I got the first one aftermarket, did you guts get it from the dealer? Luckily I kept the old one, it was just rough, not fubared and put a bearing in it...

i have replaced several between my own truck, and trucks at work, and i have never seen a plastic one. i imagine if they did switch to plastic they junked that idea quickly and went back to steel.
