installing aux tank

I have a 2005 f-350 and I just bought a used 90 gal. attatank with the transfer switch and I would like to hook it up so that when I switch to the aux tank, the fuel gauge in my dash will read the tank I am using. where would be the best place to install the transfer switch. I assume before the fuel filter.
